Our trip to the beach

Some friends of ours were kind enough to let us use their beach condo for the weekend and it was an absolute dream! I cannot tell you how much I just needed some time away from home and a mini-vacation. We let Jack bring his friend Judson, so it was more "fun" than "relaxing" with the three boys to look after, but we had a really great time. This was Owen's first time going to the beach and while he wasn't quite sure about the ocean and the (HUGE) waves, he LOVED the dry sand - he would pick it up and let it fall through his hands with this look of wonder and amazement! He also enjoyed squishing in the wet sand and playing in the tidal pool with his big brother. Jack and Judson boogie boarded and body surfed their little hearts out and I admit, I got in on the action too, it was so much fun, I felt like I was 8 years old again! :) I can't wait to go back - I could live at the beach! Here are a WHOLE BUNCH of pictures from our trip!
Best Buds Jack and Judson
Who knew 8 year old boys could eat SO much??
They found a jellyfish...

Yeah, we're not sure what's up with the peace sign either

They had so much fun with this boat!

Owen totally thought he was one of the big boys

Checkin out the ocean with Daddy

Hmmm, not quite sure.....

This is a little better!

Ahhh, sand. At least he didn't try to eat it.

Beach bums

They love each other so much!!

Seriously? Does it get any better than this? I am so blessed! :)

Princess Hannah

Wow, it's hard to believe my little niece Hannah will be 2 this month! My very first blog post was of her first birthday, how time flies! Hannah is my kindred spirit, we are very much alike in many, many ways (namely our common hatred of the "m stuff" people like to put on their hamburgers and in their chicken salad - yuck!) so it was my pleasure to dress her up like a princess and photograph her for her second birthday party invitation! As the mother of two very boyish boys, I have major girl envy, so I also must thank my dear sister for letting me live vicariously through her and relive my childhood in all it's pink, glittery, princess-y glory :) Below are some of my favorite pictures of the day, as well as the final invitation.
