YUMMM!!

Here is my final project for my photo II class. The assignment was to do a photo essay that "told a story." That was pretty much the only objective our teacher gave us, so I kinda had a hard time coming up with ideas. I got the inspiration for my photo essay from one of my very favorite blogs: http://www.bakerella.blogspot.com/ - she has the yummiest recipes on her blog and fab photos to go along with them! I call this peice "Life Cycle of A Cupcake...from conception to death". Deep...I know :)

Fort Christmas

I just completed my photo II class last night and will be starting photo III next month. I feel like I am learning so much and it is has just reinforced my love for photography and the notion that I want to do this for a living! We took a field trip out to Fort Christmas last Saturday. It was the first time I had ever been there and I quite enjoyed myself. We happened to be there on "Old Timers Day" which was kind of cool, there was a Bluegrass band and BBQ and of course, lots of Old Timers :) It was amazing to see the pioneer homes and learn about the families who lived there. If you've never been to Fort Christmas, I would highly recommend going. I took dozens of pictures, but will just post a few of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

My Very Happy Mother's Day!

Happy late Mother's Day to all you Mamas!! I had a great day and felt very loved :) I was fortunate enough to spend time with all the special "mothers" in my life...my mom, my mother in law and my sister as well as my sweet husband and two amazing little loves!
