Sorry about that....

Whoa, so I guess I've been a pretty lazy bloggie lately. That's what happens when I blink my eyes and a whole week has passed :P Not to mention, I have been having a really hard time finding inspiration this week, blah. I feel like I have all this creativity stewing just beneath the surface but can't access it because I'm too busy cleaning up goldfish off the floor for the 9,789,783,898-th time (in one day), driving here, driving there, trying to cook up nutritious, delicious meals for the fam....well, you get the idea, sometimes LIFE just gets in the way :) Not that I would trade my day job for anything in the world, but sometimes we artsy folk just need a respite from the grind to clear our head and find inspiration. Fortunately, I have a husband who tries really hard to understand this and gives me lots of little pockets of time to myself to just be "me" not mommy or wife or daughter, friend, hired photog. etc. However, his latest, greatest act of kindness has me literally jumping and down with excitement (I know you're probably picturing that in your head right now). So, I didn't win the free seat to the Marmalade Photography workshop in Chicago (although supposedly I was veryvery close). BUT - little did I know that Marianne (photographic genius from Marmalade) and Chris were conspiring behind my back to figure out a way that I could somehow still go. Chris thankfully ended up spilling the beans, which was very fortunate, because I ended up booking a wedding for that very same weekend. Instead of attending the workshop, I am now scheduled to attend a 1:1 mentoring session the following weekend with Mare in CHICAGO!! I'm so excited I just about can't stand it!
